The Islands of the Hebrides - Innse Gall

Isle of Benbecula - Beinn Na Faoghla

Bridges and causeways link North and South Uist to Benbecula and Balivanich is the main administrative and shopping centre for the Uists. Here you will find hotels, cafes, grocery, gift shops and an airport and college. Only 5 miles in length and extremely flat, this island is easy to negotiate by bike. With beaches on the west and sea lochs on the east there is plenty of stunning scenery especially as you weave your way through the causeways which link the island to North Uist. There are great opportunities to see seals, dolphins and seabirds as you cycle past.
